Kyle Kloostra co-founded Lynden Yoga Collective on a simple conviction: that yoga is one of the most honest paths back to yourself.
His own path has been shaped less by peak poses and more by the slower, harder work of learning to be present inside a human body. Drawing on training in the Theravada Vipassana, Samatha, and Metta meditation traditions, Kyle teaches yoga as an embodied mindfulness practice, one that trains attention, softens reactivity, and gradually builds the capacity to see clearly, feel fully, and move through life with greater openness.
That progression is the heart of what he holds for students. Yoga begins in the body. It gets therapeutic. And over time, if you let it, it becomes something closer to wisdom.
Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, he traded hockey rinks for mountain trails and now spends his time outside the studio hiking, skiing, and reading with coffee somewhere quiet.
He believes the studio is at its best when it feels like belonging, a place where being human together is enough.
