Most yoga instruction leaves out the people
who need it most

Seniors. People recovering from injury. Anyone living with limited mobility. They hear "yoga" and assume it's not for them. They're wrong. But they need a teacher who knows how to meet them where they are.

Chair yoga is one of the fastest-growing areas in yoga instruction, and the demand for qualified teachers far outpaces supply. Assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, corporate wellness programs, community centers, and private clients are actively looking for teachers who can deliver safe, adaptive, meaningful yoga experiences.

This training gives you the skills, the framework, and the confidence to be that teacher.

10,000+
Americans turn 65 every day through 2030. The need for accessible movement instruction is accelerating.
73%
of older adults say they want to be more physically active but don't know where to start safely.

This training is built for you if…

Yoga Teachers

You want to expand your teaching toolkit and serve populations beyond the typical studio demographic. You want CE hours that actually change how you teach.

Therapists & Clinicians

You work in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or mental health and want to integrate gentle movement into your client care.

Wellness Professionals

You work in assisted living, community health, or corporate wellness and want a credential that lets you offer yoga programming with confidence.

Caregivers & Advocates

You care for a parent, partner, or community member and want practical tools to bring safe, healing movement into their daily life.

Not just theory. Practical skills you'll use Monday morning.

01

The Chair Yoga Sequencing Wheel

Kristin's signature framework for building classes. Not a rigid script — a dynamic, visual tool that lets you create safe, flowing sequences adapted to any group, any energy level, any ability.

02

Two levels of chair yoga postures

Level One: fully seated poses for strength, stability, and spinal mobility. Level Two: standing and flowing sequences using the chair for safe support. You'll practice both extensively.

03

Confident cueing and adaptive teaching skills

Learn to offer clear, layered verbal cues that guide without overwhelming. Practice modifying in real-time for seniors, injury recovery, and limited mobility.

04

Breathwork and mindfulness integration

Practical techniques for weaving pranayama and meditation into chair-based classes — turning simple movement into a grounding, embodied experience.

05

A spiral-bound teaching manual

Take home a comprehensive reference guide with sequences, modifications, cueing scripts, and the Sequencing Wheel — everything you need to start teaching immediately.

The Chair Yoga Sequencing Wheel

This is the heart of Kristin's training. Developed over years of dedicated teaching, the Sequencing Wheel gives you a clear, visual map for structuring chair yoga classes with confidence. It guides you from centering and breath awareness through warm-ups, peak poses, balanced flows, and integration — with room for your own creativity at every stage. Graduates consistently name it as the single most useful thing they take home.

What past students say

"The hands-on learning and time to practice teaching made all the difference. The opportunity to attend a class with the chair yoga ladies at LYC brought everything together. The spiral-bound book is super helpful."
2025 Graduate
"The class was great. It felt very warm and friendly. The material was well organized and clearly presented. I left feeling genuinely ready to teach."

Kristin teaches 5th graders during the week and chair yoga to seniors on the weekends. That range — meeting a ten-year-old where they are and then turning around to do the same for an eighty-year-old — is exactly what makes her good at this.

With 500 hours of yoga training and years of experience in yoga, Pilates, and fitness instruction, Kristin teaches with a blend of calmness, playfulness, and genuine curiosity. Her classes are warm without being soft. Her cues are clear without being rigid. People trust her because she pays attention.

This training is built from her actual teaching practice — not from a textbook. You'll learn the tools she uses every week with real students in real chairs.
