Frequently Asked Questions

What if I have never practice yoga or pilates?

Absolutely! All classes are all-levels, and the studio creates a "non-comparative and non-performative space" where you can take breaks as needed. Be patient with the learning curve—teachers are there to guide you with modifications.

We recommend beginning with chair yoga, gentle yoga, slow flow, therapeutic yoga, or restorative yoga. Vinyasa classes are more intense and move at a faster pace..

Is Yoga ok with for my religious beliefs?

People of many different beliefs and backgrounds practice at Lynden Yoga Collective. We aim to normalize the shared human experience and teach what is natural to us all. For example, every human has a body, breath, attention, and awareness. Our studio is informed by science and grounded in physiologically sound practices.

Do you offer an intro offer or discounted first class/package for new students?

Yes! First-time students get three weeks of unlimited yoga classes for just $30.

Do I need to pre-register for classes or can I just drop in?

Pre-registration isn't required, but it's highly recommended to secure your spot (classes can fill up!). Use the Mindbody app for easy booking, or just drop in if space allows. If you're new, start with one of the intro offers for peace of mind.

What should I bring to my first class? (mat, water, towel, etc.)

Bring comfortable clothing you can move in, a yoga mat, and a water bottle. For infrared heated classes, add a towel to stay comfy while you sweat. Your first mat rental is free if you forget yours!

Do you provide mats and props, or should I bring my own?

We don't provide mats for free use, but rentals are available for $2 (your first one's on us!). Props like blocks, straps, and blankets are provided in class to support your practice—especially in restorative or therapeutic styles.

What should I wear?

Opt for comfortable, breathable clothes that let you move freely, like leggings, shorts, or loose pants. No special yoga gear needed—just something that feels good for bending and breathing.

How early should I arrive for my first class?

Arrive 10-15 minutes early to check in, get oriented to the space, and chat with your instructor. If you're new to yoga, mention it upfront so they can offer extra support—it's all about easing in gently.

Where is the studio located and is there parking?

We're at 408 Front Street, Suite 101, Lynden, WA 98264—right in the heart of downtown. Free street parking is available out front, plus nearby lots for easy access. Call (564) 213-6563 if you need directions.

What are your current class schedules?

Classes run daily with a mix of vinyasa, Hatha, yin, restorative, and more—both in-studio and virtual options. View the live schedule on our site or via the Mindbody app (link: www.lyndenyogacollective.com/schedule). Pro tip: Filter for "gentle" or "therapeutic" to match your level!
